Assisting this industry leading Swedish HMI brand with it’s print communication for the Asia market. Coming up with a style based on the brand’s guidelines that is more acceptable for Asian customers.
Beijer Electronics is the leading HMI (Human Machine Interface) manufacturer in the European market, In recent years the brand has been trying to have a firm footing in the Asian market which usually has been dominated by Japanese markets.
北爾電子是歐陸人機介面（HMI, Human Machine Interface）領導品牌。近年來這個品牌積極嘗試進入由日本研發商主導的亞洲市場。
Building on Beijer Electronics’ clear brand guideline and brand resources, we wanted to make the style less B2B like and more B2C, because we felt this would match the simple and welcoming design aesthetics of Scandinavian design. We also tried to cut down the usage of text and use a more visual communicating approach.
Building on the wealth of information and brand resources (images & charts) available, we tried to communicate even more with images and visuals, and make the information more clear and easy to understand. We rewrote much of the catalogue information for Asia with the Beijer Electronics’ Taiwan marketing team.
Continuing on the strategies and style set with the catalogue, the posters are what B2C consumers like. They are communicated clearly in a clean style, which is the message each poster had to achieve.

We worked closely with Beijer Electronics’ Taiwan marketing team to ensure the communication flow of each ad, making sure they were communicated effectively, at the same time making sure they are not overloaded with less relevant information.
Wanting to make an impression on it’s potential customers, and further communicate the brand’s Scandinavian aesthetics, we chose not to use the standard A4 size for most newsletter, and instead produced a large format newspaper like publication printed on unlamented paper. The newsletter was quite effective and generated a lot of new visitors to the brand’s website to receive the electronic newsletter.
We are happy to build a strong working partnership with the Taiwan marketing team, through our work we have come to understand Beijer Electronic’s products so well we can become it’s distributors. A point we often joke about.
