Like many people who has never traveled to the region, David says that he felt an unwarranted fear at first when he traveled to Jordan, perhaps from all the movies and tv shows he has watched. He was invited by a global non-profit organization he works with, to see the Syrian refugee work that is done there, as well as tagging along for the ride to experience what doing aid work in the region is like. It was a trip that left quite an impression on him. He says that it was such a transition for him, to go from being nervous without a reason, to developing a genuine affection for the people and culture.
